Dr. Prathibha Augustus is an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist (CRR No: A91762) dedicated to delivering evidence-based, ethical, and trauma-informed mental health care. She holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, and a Ph.D. from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, where her research focused on the effectiveness of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for sexually abused adolescents.
Specializing in comprehensive psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for both children and adults, Dr. Prathibha is an empathetic therapist who prioritizes client safety, autonomy, and collaborative recovery. Her clinical expertise spans cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations, evidence-based interventions, and navigating legal-psychological intersections in trauma management.
In addition to her clinical practice, she has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and international book chapters (IGI Global) on trauma-informed care, child abuse interventions, and women’s sexual and reproductive health. Multilingual in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, she strives to make evidence-based psychological services accessible, safe, and empowering to her clients.
Prathibha works systemically – she sees the family as a whole, rather than focusing on a single member. Change in one part of the system, she believes, can transform the whole.
Her sessions blend structured conversation guidance, communication-skills training, and reflective exercises couples can practise between sessions.
